Up to 20% of these tumors occur during the first year of life. They account for 0.5% of [[intracranial tumor]]s in [[adult]]s. Choroid plexus tumors most commonly arise from the lateral ventricles (50%), followed by the fourth (40%) and the third ventricle (5%).
