[[Bone]] development begins with the replacement of collagenous [[mesenchyma]]l tissue by bone. Generally, bone is formed by endochondral or intramembranous [[ossification]]. Intramembranous ossification is essential in the bone such as skull, facial bones, and pelvis which MSCs directly differentiate to [[osteoblast]]s.
